This episode of the Fantasy Sports Collective Podcast focuses on a few QB’s, RB’s, WR’s, and TE who you should target on your waiver wire in your college fantasy football leagues. This list only covers players with less than 30% ownership on fantrax. Here is the list.
QB AJ Swann (Candy) — 21% ownership, top 5 college fantasy QB through 2 weeks
QB Luke Altmyer (ILL) — sub 20% ownership, he’s a dual threat, currently a top 15 QB
RB Omario Hampton (UNC) — sub 18% ownership. Exploded for 220 yards & 3 td’s. He’s dynamic and could continue to take majority of the touches.
RB Dylan Edwards (MICH) — freshman is off to a great start. He won’t jump Blake Corum so their is a real ceiling but he’s a stud
RB Kyle Monangai (Rutgers) — he’s been a TD machine, 4 total through 2 games. That rate is hard to maintain and his schedule isn’t as forgiving but he’s certainly up there.
WR Zachariah Branch (USC) — true freshman, he has been too good. He’s likely gone in your league but if not, he’s the real deal.
WR Jacolby George (Miami) — the upperclassmen may have finally jumped the shark. He’s available in more than 90% of all leagues.
TE Amari Niblack (Alabama) — he’s listed as 3rd on the depth chart but he’s had back 2 back weeks of 2 catches 45+ yards and a TD. He’s a form
TE Holden Staes (ND) — he exploded for 4 receptions, 115 2 td’s in a game vs. NC State. The former 4 star recruit maybe on his way to being more featured.
This is just a sampling of target players who likely are available in your college fantasy football league. As the season progresses we’ll see more emerge via injuries or lack of performance.
